Promotion of Sustainable Development on a Territorial Scale for the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection

We have demonstrated our commitment to sustainable development through our collaboration with the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment. This project aimed to promote sustainable initiatives at local level, with a particular focus on local government climate projects and climate finance.

 

 

Leading national and regional workshops

    • Holding two nation-wide workshops with key stakeholders.
    • Constructive debates on the challenges of sustainable development on a national scale.
  2. Regional Workshops
    • Holding four regional workshops to promote a decentralized approach.
    • In-depth discussions with local stakeholders on the challenges specific to each region.

Drafting Concept Notes

  1. Regional Climate Projects
    • We have drawn up a series of twelve concept notes detailing innovative local climate projects.
    • Identification of greenhouse gas emission reduction opportunities.
  2. A practical guide to climate finance
    • Drafting a practical guide to climate finance.
    • Detailed information on the financing mechanisms available for sustainable projects.

Impact and results

All these actions have helped to strengthen the understanding and widespread adoption of sustainable practices across the region. The local climate projects that have been drawn up are concrete examples of our ongoing efforts to foster a more sustainable future, in moroccon the ecosystem.
